During this cleanse, I am very limited as to what I can eat/drink. It really brings out the creative side to mine and Cheese's cooking. It really is an amazing and healthy way to eat. Its just extremely difficult in the type of environment we live in.
For breakfast, I sauteed brown rice, tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic and leeks. Once all of those were almost finished cooking together, I threw in a couple eggs and scrambled it all together. I also added some fresh curry powder, turmeric, and my favorite - Bragg's Liquid Amino Acids for flavor. Since we cannot eat any bread - even gluten free - I put some raw almond butter on top of a brown rice cake. I threw a couple of tomato slices on the plate as well. It was delicious!! I swear, the more I get to cook with whole foods, the better it tastes.
Now this doesn't mean I am particularly in love with the way I have been eating during these few days. I have been craving massive amounts of food that I currently am detoxing myself from. This includes everything from potatoes, condiments, salty foods, to fruit and....coffee? I don't even drink coffee! My body is just craving everything it cant have right now. I'm not surprised that I'm getting these cravings, I just was hoping I wouldn't get them so soon!
So far Ive been sticking with it. As of right now, I'm successfully fighting the cravings, fatigue and mood swings... Only 27 days to go! Eep...
